One day, in the not-so-distant future, probably around 2026, a Harvard business case study, maybe even a book, will be written about TripActions’ story from its inception in 2016 to obtaining global market dominance circa 2025.
Surely one special chapter will be dedicated to carefully describe how the leadership team at TripActions (with the support of their remarkable investors Oren Zeev, Ben Horowitz, Arif Janmohamed, and others who joined us recently, have navigated the COVID-19 crisis which has severely impacted global travel.
While this chapter will surely be a fascinating read about crises management, grit and tenacity, it will be one chapter out of many, located somewhere in the middle of the book.
Some may even skip it because they grew tired of hearing about Covid throughout the years.
Later chapters will touch on growing from Product to Platform, how TripActions Liquid gained massive market adoption and complimented the company’s initial offering, its Corporate Travel solution. How “project lemonade” ended up becoming a massive success etc.
Throughout the book we will learn how TripActions took over (or obliterated) it’s legacy competitors. One at a time.
This book is being written one page at a time, every day since 2016 by TripActions’ stellar leadership team — Ariel Cohen, Ilan Twig, Meagen Eisenberg, Carlos Delatorre, Rich Liu ,Thomas Tuchscherer, Ciara Govern, Sai Jahann, Nina Herold, Michael Sindicich, Mark Goldberger to name a few.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy once it is out on (digital) shelves.
2026 after all..I doubt we will print pages in such velocity as we do today..but who knows, maybe I’ll get one at a vintage book store because I will miss holding a physical book in my hands..)
